Simple Pleasures

Kate & Dave's wedding at the top of Keystone Mountain.. Gorgeous day for a wedding outside!

Getting back to work has certainly lead to increased stress.. But I think I am quickly reminded and provided with some fun and great opportunities! This week I started a Spanish class, which I am already so excited about. I also got to reconnect with my students (new ones and old ones). I spent last Monday evening at a concert at Red Rocks Amphitheater to see Ray LaMontagne & David Gray, which was so fantastic. The weather has been incredible here. I'm loving the sun and the breeze. I've been hiking for the past two weekends, and went to a wedding on the top of a mountain yesterday. I've had many good laughs with friends, better conversations, a fantastic long run today, and even a night of dancing! I am certainly enjoying being back in Denver with what it has to offer here, and the relationships I have been developing for the past 3 years. I am still missing my family and my new nephew and friends in Chicago.. and I am of course missing the people and my time from being in Haiti this summer. I have realized as life becomes busy here, I tend to be more disconnected from things and people that are not here with me. My prayer is that I continue to be connected to those relationships and experiences that have so much shaped who I am.
I will close with some photos of my time with friends, on mountains, in the beauty with the breeze hitting my face :).
